Sun Protection Balm

Our sunscreen is a clean option for protecting your skin from the sun. Its unique composition soothes and nourishes the skin, while providing a strong barrier to the sun's rays. The texture comes on super smooth and feels just like your typical sunscreen lotion but stays on much longer. The larger size of zinc oxide particles helps them stay on the skins surface, not be absorbed.

Why Tallow?

Tallow is known for its unique composition which allows it to deeply moisturize our skin. These amazing moisturizing properties can be especially useful for combating skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, diaper rash, and more. Tallow helps protect the skins natural barrier. Beef tallow is rich in essential vitamins which have been shown to promote skin health and produce a youthful, radiant complexion. Skin can be soothed with tallow because of its anti-inflammatory properties, including sunburn. Contrary to many conventional moisturizers, tallow does not clog pores. It is a lightweight oil and easily absorbed by the skin. Tallow is a very useful friend for maximizing your skin's collagen production as it contains a rich array of the amino acids necessary for collagen production. 

Why Beeswax?

Beeswax is a substance that provides an excellent barrier for the skin, especially when protecting from UV rays. It is a thoroughly moisturizing wax for the skin. Beeswax also contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping with wounds, bug bites, and sunburn. 

Why Coconut Oil?

Coconut oil is rich in saturated fats, providing a protective layer for the skin. It's antioxidant properties help prevent oxidative damage and burning. Best of all, while it protects the outer surface of your skin, it is also moisturizing. 

Why EVOO?

Olive oil helps to retain the skins natural moisture, preventing dry and flaky skin. The antioxidants in olive oil help to protect the skin from effects of aging and environmental damage. Olive oil has been used for thousands of years to keep skin healthy and glowing. 

Why Carrot Oil?

Carrot seed oil has naturally occurring carotenoids and vitamin E, which function as antioxidants. This powerhouse of an oil protects the skin from UV ray damage, raising the spf of the sunscreen. It also can lower the risk of premature aging.

Why Non-Nano Zinc Oxide?

Non-nano zinc oxide consists of larger particles than your typical zinc oxide, which is beneficial because these larger particles do not penetrate the skins barrier. Rather they stay on the skin's surface, providing the ultimate UV protection. This also makes it a much safer option for sun protection. Additionally, non-nano zinc oxide is less likely to come off in water. Unlike many non-nano zinc oxide sunscreens, ours does not leave a white residue and blends in perfectly to the skin. 

Directions for use:

• Reapply sunscreen every 30-60 minutes for best results
• Best if used within 6 months

Grass-fed beef tallow, local beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic extra virgin olive oil, carrot oil, and non-nano zinc oxide
